To apply for a tourist Immigration to Indonesia, one must first register at Indonesian immigration department and pay required fees.
Foreigners may apply for a Visit Immigration at an Indonesian embassy or consulate, or the sponsor may file an application at the Immigration Departments General Office in Jakarta, Indonesia. Individuals may only travel within the validity period of a Visit Immigration.
Individuals are allowed into Indonesia only while their Immigration is valid. Individuals holding such Immigrations are allowed to stay for a period of one month and can also renew it as long as they have valid reasons.

Foreigners or sponsors may still apply for a Visitor Immigration (onshore Immigration) inside the Indonesian territory via online Immigration approval application Trips Away Tourism. Crew agencies legally operating in Indonesia may apply for entry into the Crew Immigration Program (CVP) through Trips Away Tourism. All applicants are also required to submit a valid, un- manipulated photograph meeting the standards for obtaining Trips Away Immigrations.
For multi-entry Immigrations, please include a letter of invitation (in duplicate) from business partners or sponsors within Indonesia describing the purpose of visit. As of March 7, 2022, British citizens entering Indonesia for tourist purposes may apply for Immigration upon arrival for the fee of AED 1250.
